An Evening With Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder

Fifteen-time Grammy Award winner, Ricky Skaggs will be bringing his unique sound of Bluegrass Country music to the Centrepointe Theatres’ stage along with his house band, the legendary Kentucky Thunder. Having plucked his first cords on a mandolin over 50 years ago, his career has taken him on a journey around the world whilst picking up numerous awards, including both Grammy and Country Music Association Awards.

His band, award-winning musicians in their own right, are made up of Paul Brewster (tenor vocals, rhythm guitar), Russ Carson (banjo), Jake Workman (lead guitar), Mike Barnett (fiddle), Dennis Parker (baritone vocals, guitar) and Jeff Picker (bass). Ricky himself says, "each and every one of the pickers in Kentucky Thunder totally amazes me in every show.”
