FREE pre-show event for Cirque Kalabanté ticket holders.

Join us for a demonstration of Kpatsa performed by the extraordinary Stacey Can-Tamakloe (dancer), and Danny Gonzalez (drums).
 
The Kpatsa is a dance that allows for story-telling opportunities through movement and music. The style of Kpatsa is meant to imitate the limping gait and dance of mystical beings, such as dwarfs. 
 
Stacey will also speak about the cultural significance of this piece that comes from the Ga-Adangbe of the Greater-Accra region of Ghana.  
 
This demonstration is FREE for ticket holders and takes place in the Les Lye Studio Theatre from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm prior to Cirque Kalabanté performance at 7:30 pm on the mainstage.
 
You will need to show your Cirque Kalabanté ticket for entry to the Kpatsa demonstration. Entry and seating are based on availability and space (first come first served).
