A Moonmoment to Remember
Presented by China Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra & Ottawa United Choir
This show is presented in English and Chinese.
This commemorative concert marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, and the 55th anniversary of Canada–China diplomatic relations. The performance will feature a joint symphonic collaboration between the China Conservatory of Music Student Symphony Orchestra and local Ottawa youth ensembles.
The first half of the concert will present classical and iconic pieces from both China and Canada, performed by the combined orchestras. The second half will be dedicated to a large-scale choral symphony presentation of The Yellow River Cantata, an iconic masterpiece symbolizing resilience and unity, performed together with a united local choir.
This special event highlights the power of music to bridge cultures, celebrate shared history, and inspire hope for a harmonious future.
