Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe reopening news!

Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe’s Les Lye Studio Theatre, and Ben Franklin Place’s Chamber, Meeting Room 1A and Meeting Room 1C are available for bookings. Contact us at meridiancentrepointe@ottawa.ca to discuss your event in the Les Lye Studio Theatre. Contact us at bfprentals@ottawa.ca to discuss your event in the Chamber, Room 1A, or Room 1C.

For the safety of our guests and staff, local, provincial, and federal public health COVID-19 guidelines regarding indoor spaces, masks, capacities and physical distancing will be followed.

Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe Mainstage and box office remain closed until further notice.

Ticket holders with tickets to cancelled and postponed events have been contacted regarding refunds. Please contact us at meridiancentrepointe@ottawa.ca if your refund is still outstanding.

Theatre Performances

Information regarding spring 2020 shows missed due to COVID-19: All scheduled shows from the spring, summer and fall of 2020 have either been cancelled or rescheduled. If you plan to attend the new performance date, your old tickets are still valid. However, if you would prefer a refund, or your refund is still outstanding, please contact us at meridiancentrepointe@ottawa.ca.

Q: If a performance is cancelled, when and how will I receive a refund?

If you purchased tickets online for an event that is cancelled, refunds will be processed through our online ticketing partner and returned to your credit card.

If you purchased tickets over the phone or in person, we will contact you to process your refund over the phone. If your refund is still outstanding, please e-mail us at meridiancentrepointe@ottawa.ca

Q: If a performance is postponed, what do I do?

If you are holding tickets for a performance that is postponed, we will announce the new dates as soon as possible. Your current tickets will be honoured for that date, or we will refund you at your request if you are unable to attend the new date.

Q: What spaces are available to rent?

• The Les Lye Studio Theatre is available for performances at reduced capacities
• The Chamber in Ben Franklin Place
• Meeting Room 1A in Ben Franklin Place
• Meeting Room 1C in Ben Franklin Place

Q: What protocols are in place for the Les Lye Studio Theatre?

Seating capacities are reduced and will be based on the type of seating configuration you prefer. In all cases, physical distancing is required between audience members.

Pairs of people from the same bubble can be seated together at a cabaret table or side by side in theatre seats.

Non-cohorts will be seated at a distance of 70 square feet or six (6) metres from each other.

Current provincial guidelines allow up to ten people at indoor gatherings. This includes all performers, technicians, and backstage personnel.

Depending on the nature of the performance, performers may require an impermeable shield between each other and/or the audience.

Box office services are not available at this time. Presenters and hosts must sell their tickets independently.

For the safety of everyone, masks are required, and each person entering the space, whether a guest, host or presenter will need to complete a self-assessment form as well as a contact information form. You will need to retain this information on file and share with public health authorities if contact tracing is required after the event.

Q: What protocols are in place for rooms in Ben Franklin Place?

In Ben Franklin Place, we can offer the following:

1) Chamber: up to 10 people in single seats
2) Room 1C: up to 6 people in single chairs
3) Room 1A: up to 8 people in single chairs

The Atrium is unavailable at this time.

For the safety of everyone, masks are required, and each person entering the space, whether a guest, host or presenter will need to complete a self-assessment form as well as a contact information form. You will need to retain this information on file and share with public health authorities if contact tracing is required after the event.
