Presented by Tone Cluster - quite a queer choir
It's the 20th anniversary edition of Show Tune Showdown™, a musical theatre performance competition and song title trivia show presented by Tone Cluster!
Three teams compete by performing a selection of show tunes in front of three celebrity judges. For even more fun, there are Showdown rounds where the team that guesses a song from trivia clues performs it on the spot, unrehearsed. There's also an audience showdown round, where an audience member who guesses the song gets to perform it for points for their favourite team.
The teams are Broadway Nights Ottawa, Orpheus Musical Theatre and Zucchini Productions. Our judges are Wrong Hands cartoonist John Atkinson, CTV Ottawa news anchor Matt Skube, and Councillor Ariel Troster, Somerset Ward.
Throw in a show opener by Tone Cluster, our fabulous emcee comedian Jesse Reynolds and long-time favourite Bob LeDrew, and Show Tune Showdown™ has all the ingredients for an unforgettable night!
