Tasher Desh: A Story of Rebellion is a retelling of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic dance-drama of the same name.
When two travelers enter the stoic Kingdom of Cards, they stir its silent court and awaken change. They confront a community bound by emotionless order, guiding them to rediscover and embrace the full spectrum of human feeling, from sorrow to joy.
Blending Indian classical and contemporary dance styles, this dance-drama features adapted English dialogue woven together with Tagore’s timeless songs in their original Bengali language.
